Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel is a five-star hotel with a strategic location with a capacity of 539 rooms. Adjacent to the location of cultural and entertainment center of this island city, the hotel offers scenic river views.

Located along the historic Singapore River and just 5 minutes from the Integrated Business Centre (CBD), the hotel has easy access to area shopping, entertainment Chinatown and famous Orchard Road. Other five-star facilities including a casual and formal dining, in addition to offering various types of cuisine ranging from international to Asia far too complete business center. With an existing solar heat gain problem in the hotel lobby and rooms, La Meridian Hotel Management engaged V-KOOL Khobar to propose solar control solutions and security films.

An initial site survey and Customer Needs Analysis conducted by V-KOOL Consultants, the building management were recommended the superior spectrally-selective attributes of V-KOOL 70 for the glass windows and 8 mil the security film. V-KOOL 70 rejects the maximum heat rejection and allowed the maximum visible light transmission it is the best ratio available in the market so that customers and staff experienced much needed cooling without darkening the space.

Total area installed was approximately 1200 sq meters. and was completed within a span of 20 days, in appropriate time to minimize inconvenience and disruption.

The hotel management is very pleased of works performed by the V-KOOL technicians and studies have shown that it is the best.

Saudi Aramco is the national oil company owned by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is an integrated global oil and chemicals.

Saudi Aramco had honored its commitment to establish new sustainable buildings (green) environmental conservation, where they won a Platinum award certificate provided by the Institute for leadership in energy and environmental design, which is the highest award offered by the Institute in the field of green building. The Institute was granted a building "Almdra" eighty (80) points, to qualify to the Platinum award certificate, where the building received, in the category of energy and atmosphere alone, thirty three (33) points of thirtyfive (35), reflecting the higher performance of the building's energy through solar panels, as well as building management system that provides an integrated automated control system of lighting in the building. Internal environmental quality has also been improved for the building through controlling the level of carbon dioxide and installing V-KOOL thermal insulation films.

Aramco management engaged V-KOOL KSA to retrofit V-KOOL® on the entire offices covering the building. V-KOOL A. 20 was selected as the management did not want to compromise the natural light entering the offices with heat rejection. The 3250 sq meters. Project took a month to complete due to the difficulty and access constraints of the work site.

The General Aviation terminal on the east side of Dammam airport is being used exclusively by Saudi Aramco, Statistics show that more than 500,000 passengers passing through every year.

The management was concerned with the high energy cost of cooling the airport and they felt the need to contact the relevant companies in the region.

V-KOOL, through Energy Conservation Estimates calculated with the assistance of V-KOOL International\’s technical department, demonstrated substantial savings with the use of V-KOOL® 70.

The decision was finally made to install V-KOOL 70 .

Since the installation and together with other measures taken, airport authority has reported over savings in energy costs.

 

Saudi Railways Organization

Saudi Railways Organization is keen to develop its services, by providing the locomotives with latest specification of large glass windows, highest degree of comfort and tranquility to allows travelers enjoying seeing external views.

Due to the hot climate of the Kingdom most of the of the year, the company decided to install thermal insulation films to prevent heat leakage through windows and reduce the cost of the internal air conditioning and preservation of the environment and provide a comfortable vision of traveling through the windows.

Aramco office building in Dammam King Fahad Street is unique model of work carried out by V-KOOL in the region where the building consists of several floors adorned by lobby formed at the top of it huge skylight which allow sun's rays heat emitted through, that remained a constant nuisance for staff and visitors.

The building management has decided to put an end to the heat gained inside the building by installing a good thermal insulation film.

Contact established with V-KOOL, Saudi Arabia and other companies operating in the region for a long period of time and finally negotiations resulted in awarding V-KOOL to do the work in accordance with the following methods:

1. The installation of an external insulation film because of the difficulty of access from inside to the top of the skylight, due to the height which exceeds 60 meters with the presence of iron pillar prevent the technicians reach work site.
2. The installation of a special insulation film commensurate with the climate of the region and is resistant to glass refraction.
3. V-KOOL 33A installed over an area of 1320 SQ meters.

Work accomplished in a record time of 21 days and temperature has been measured after installation and theresults have led to a significant decrease ranging between 8-11 degrees Celsius.

Work completed during the period of 85 days to be installed over an area of 1800 Sq. meters. The heat isolated by 55% and achieved a satisfaction and greater convenience for students, staff and management.

Aircraft Fuel Carriers

In order to achieve more to keep up with the accelerating shift in paradigm shift the mobilization and transfer of petroleum products, for access by all parties to further achieve the goals of safety and reliability in energy supply, special engineers team business development strategies, in cooperation with the Department of planning and technical support in the distributions of aluminum tanks entered into service in transporting petroleum products distribution stations for Saudi Aramco.

In support to the safety of the drivers inside the cockpit from the heat while engine off during refueling aircraft, safety department at Aramco decided, the need for the installation of thermal insulation films of good quality to keep the temperature inside the cabin stable.

V-KOOL is invited to quote and special proposal presented consisting of the properties characterize the insulation films which is used by NASA because of their high quality of the aspects of safety.

V-KOOL awarded to installation the film V-KOOL 70 for a total of 85 oil tankers.

SAUDI Aramco terminal at King Fahad International Airport, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia

The General Aviation terminal on the east side of Dammam airport is being used exclusively by Saudi Aramco, Statistics show that more than 500,000 passengers passing through every year.

The management was concerned with the high energy cost of cooling the airport and they felt the need to contact the relevant companies in the region.

V-KOOL, through Energy Conservation Estimates calculated with the assistance of V-KOOL International\’s technical department, demonstrated substantial savings with the use of V-KOOL® 70.

The decision was finally made to install V-KOOL 70 .

Since the installation and together with other measures taken, airport authority has reported over savings in energy costs.

 
 

Saudi Railways Organization

Saudi Railways Organization is keen to develop its services, by providing the locomotives with latest specification of large glass windows, highest degree of comfort and tranquility to allows travelers enjoying seeing external views.

Due to the hot climate of the Kingdom most of the of the year, the company decided to install thermal insulation films to prevent heat leakage through windows and reduce the cost of the internal air conditioning and preservation of the environment and provide a comfortable vision of traveling through the windows.

Since V-KOOL has a reputation within the major economic establishments in the Kingdom, the Saudi Railways organization invited V-KOOL technicians to study and assess the problem and suggest the appropriate solutions.

V-KOOL was awarded the job of installation the insulation films (K- 28) for the locomotives with total area (1450) square meters and eventually V-KOOL crew did the work with high efficiency within short period.

Saudi Railways Organization appreciated the work and said it helped reduce the heat, cost of air-conditioning and preserve environment, as well as travelers enjoy comfortable seeing clearly through the windows.

 
 

Aramco Office Building in Dammam

Aramco office building in Dammam King Fahad Street is unique model of work carried out by V-KOOL in the region where the building consists of several floors adorned by lobby formed at the top of it huge skylight which allow sun's rays heat emitted through, that remained a constant nuisance for staff and visitors.

The building management has decided to put an end to the heat gained inside the building by installing a good thermal insulation film.

Contact established with V-KOOL, Saudi Arabia and other companies operating in the region for a long period of time and finally negotiations resulted in awarding V-KOOL to do the work in accordance with the following methods:

1. The installation of an external insulation film because of the difficulty of access from inside to the top of the skylight, due to the height which exceeds 60 meters with the presence of iron pillar prevent the technicians reach work site.
2. The installation of a special insulation film commensurate with the climate of the region and is resistant to glass refraction.
3. V-KOOL 33A installed over an area of 1320 SQ meters.

Work accomplished in a record time of 21 days and temperature has been measured after installation and theresults have led to a significant decrease ranging between 8-11 degrees Celsius.

 
 

Saudi Chambers of Commerce

The board Building committee faced troublesome heat gain through the glass surfaces during the summer months for employees and visitors, after reviewing and testing several other goods, established window film products, selected V-KOOL K.14 to be applied to 1100 square meter of their headquarters building in Dammam - Jeddah – Jubail

This was in spite of the fact that other alternative products were cheaper than V-KOOL. Project took 30 days to complete due to the spread of the workplace.

 
 

Saudi Electricity Company

Saudi Electricity Company is one of the largest operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia interested in conserves power by means of thermal insulation, which prevents heat leakage to the building and therefore protects from any changes in temperature, so it was necessary for the electricity company to install insulation on all its buildings

SCECO company management called V-KOOL team to evaluate and study the situation of the buildings to provide proposal that contains all kinds of thermal insulation films

V-KOOL Alkhobar illustrate that all films provides a balance between the percentages of the total value of the rejected heat emissivity while maintaining a visible light transmission level than ordinary films.

V-KOOL was selected to install the Thermal insulation the film V-KOOL A.20 chosen to cover the entire facades and windows of buildings with a total area of 3200 square meters

Project took 90 days to complete due to the spread of the workplace.

The film quality and installation won plaudits of SCECO and cooperation still going on.
